The main attraction of this small Saxon village is surely the Fortified Church, a real treasure of medieval architecture. Built in the XIII century on the place of an old Roman church, the Fortified Church is surrounded by a fortress composed of defense walls, two bastions and two guard towers. They say this is the most beautiful Fortified Church in Transilvania and it entered the UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999.
Rural tourism has more charm when it includes bike rides. And on the Transilvanian hills surrounding Viscri where you can find off-road tracks you are sure to enjoy some adventures. Bikes can be rented from the village for a whole day. On this special bike track you can go through 9 villages and Sighisoara city(assuming you have enough time and energy for this), on a complex track composed primarily of forrests, on a length of ~40 KM
